Scenes from Humblebrew

Our story
Many years ago in the suburbs of Syracuse, NY, a flannel dad got a “make your own beer kit” as a gift. He shared it with his friend, who shared it with his neighbor and thus was the Humblebrew Beer Company born. We’ve moved from a basement to a garage and now to Jamesville, amassing friends, equipment, and a handful of original recipes along the way. The quality of the beer has improved since our basement days, but the philosophy behind our beer remains the same: simple suds for the casual connoisseur.
They say that a good song is three chords and the truth, and that’s the way we feel about beer. Fancy is fun, but the beers we love best are pretty basic: hops, yeast, malt, water, and time. “Downtown Saturday Night” beers are great for special occasions, but a Humblebrew is a “Tuesday at 4pm for no real reason” kind of beer. We love clever names and ornate labels, but a Humblebrew is written in sharpie on a piece of painters tape. Some beers demand your full attention, but a Humblebrew is polite, says please and thank you, and always takes off its shoes without being asked. We’d rather be drinking it than explaining it. Relax, it’s just beer.
We’ve gone through hundreds of kegs, dozens of beer sampling parties, and a few awards since we started (which we’re very humble about), and we’re honored now to have the opportunity to share our uncomplicated ales with you. Enjoy one of our painless pints and modest malts with us or with your friends; at a big wooden table or by a campfire; in a glass mug or in a plastic cup; or just on a Tuesday at 4pm for no reason. Stay humble!
